3. Preventative Maintenance and Service
Improperly installing an ice machine is sure to lead to many service problems later.
Check manufacturers’ specifications
Check that the unit is level, front to back and side to side
Check for proper sizing and routing of water and drain lines, and adequate water flow
Check for adequate electrical power supply according to the nameplate

4. Preventative Maintenance and Service
Allow for proper air flow around the equipment and maintain proper ambient conditions
Front and Side air intake kits
Always follow manufacturers’ recommended start and check procedures
Complete the warranty registration procedures
Go over unit operation and recommend maintenance procedures with the customer.

5. Maintenance Schedule A minimum of two times per year
More often if mineral scale builds up rapidly
Plan to:
De-scale water system
Sanitize water system and storage area
Clean air filter and / or condenser
Greasy, dusty environments require more frequent air filter cleaning
