In the woods Girl: (Sitting at base of tree, reading a book. Hears a rustle.) Anyone there? Monster: (Growls low and scary.) Grrrrr…. Girl: (Gasps. Mutters to herself.) It's probably just a squirrel or something. Monster: (Growling moves closer to girl and gets a little louder.) Grrrrr…. Girl: (Tells herself) A squirrel that growls? I don't think so! (Gets up and walks fast.) Monster: (Follows close behind breathing loudly.) Girl: (Breathes hard and runs racing through the trees.) I’m outta here! [A break in the path appears. The girl stops to catch her breath.] Monster: (Lunges and grabs girl.) Girl: (Screams.) Noooooo! Where are the STAGE DIRECTIONS? How do you know?

Narrator 1: At the end of a long, dark road is a long, dark path. Narrator 2: At the end of the long, dark path is a lone, dark house. Narrator 3: And the lone, dark house has a single, dark door. Narrator 4: Behind the single, dark door is a long, dark hall. Narrator 5: At the end of the long, dark hall are some tall, dark stairs. Narrator 6: At the top of the tall, dark stairs is a long dark balcony. Narrator 1: At the end of the long, dark balcony is a big dark room. Narrator 2: In the big, dark room is a big, dark closet. Narrator 3: In the big, dark closet is a big, dark door. Narrator 4: Behind the big, dark door are some steep, dark stairs. Narrator 5: At the top of the steep, dark stairs is a dark, dusty attic. Narrator 6: In the dark, dusty attic is a big, dark chest. Narrator 1: In the big, dark chest is a small, dark box. Narrator 2: And in the small, dark box is a pink jellybean
