1 How To Trick Your Brain Into Avoiding Jet Lag

2 Jet lag is when you travel from one time zone to another via airplane and your body has to adjust to the new time zone.

3 If you start to feel tired before 11:00 pm when you arrive in your destination, turn on all the lights. It tricks your body into thinking its still day time

4 It is said that if you fly west, it is easier to adjust to jet lag

5 If possible, catch an overnight flight
If possible, catch an overnight flight. That way when you wake up, you will already be mostly adjusted to the new time zone

6 Then, there’s the Jet Lag Diet…
Day 1: Feast Day 2: Fast Day 3: Feast Day 4: Fast Start 3 days before your flight leaves. Nobody knows if it for sure works for everyone

7 The airplane is very dry, be sure to drink lots of water before you get on the plane, after you get off, and while you’re on it

8 Sitting for the whole flight isn’t good for your circulation, so be sure to get up and move around the cabin, or take a quick nap

9 If you have a stopover, shower if possible

10 Take sleeping pills such as melatonin, but not while you’re on the airplane.

11 Avoid sleeping during stop overs, and immediately upon landing in your destination, unless you arrive late at night

13 Set your clock to the new time zone as soon as you board your flight to prepare yourself for the time difference

14 Have a good nights sleep the night before you leave

15 If you’re on a day time flight, try to sit by the window

16 Keep as warm as possible on the flight

17 Start changing your sleeping pattern a few days before you leave so that it more closely resembles time zone at your destination.
