4 “An appropriate goal for the career development efforts of school counselors working with elementary-aged children is to enhance students’ knowledge of the array of career choices available to them and to encourage students to refrain from prematurely eliminating careers- particularly those they may deem inappropriate for their gender- that may eventually be a good match for their interests and talents”  (Wahl, 2005).

5 Field Test Process 23 counselors -18 schools- 4-5 per grade
Training session for field testing Deliver unit and assessments (as designed) Record all feedback/evaluation Bring all materials and feedback to evaluation session Revisions Unit launch 2010 school year in Des Moines
