Article 2 Inclusion of more members: Occupational Therapists Adult Education Teachers District Nurse Article 4 Addition of days for members for union business (training, education, committee business, etc.)

Article 8 Updated timelines for evaluations (more in- line with current school year calendar) New evaluation tools for psychologists and counselors (aligns with standards specific to their profession) Article 9 Cleaned up outdated language Includes section on PDL (Pregnancy Disability Leave – new info/language) Adjusted language in Bereavement Leave section (i.e. used to be you only received 5 days for out of state travel, now it is 250 miles or more) Added more reasons for personal necessity leave (wedding, graduation, taking child to college, etc.) Lots of details added – too many to list!

Article 13 Lowered TK-3 to 24 per class Added 4,5,6th language 7-8th – lowered to 35 per class 9-12th – lowered to 37 per class Still have waiver language, but members now have the protection that the agreement is between the Association and the District (which means you don’t need to feel the pressure as you may have felt in the past) Article 15 Added language for the work order process (with requirement of notification if they are not approved and why) Visitor Badge Process for ALL school campuses for any non-school employees More rights and protection for teacher s – please read through when you get a chance!

Compensation 2.65 % on-schedule raise
Came pretty far from 1st offer – 1.56 off-schedule Retroactive from July 1, 2017 – You will receive a retro check some time end of May – early June Won’t be on your May 1st check, but will probably be on your June 1st check If your salary is $80,000 – your increase will be $2,120 On-schedule vs. Off-schedule = Always an addition to your overall salary, increases your overall income A one-time increase to your salary, but does not continue to the next year (you will revert back to your previous income) – similar to a one-time bonus
