New Reporting Tool Out with the old and in with the new!
It’s time to meet the replacement for our existing reporting software ART (officially known as Web Intelligence XI). In this session we will discuss the differences between the software, our expected timeline and support, and what to expect when we change over.
4
What’s Happening With ART
5
What’s Going On? So why is ART going away?
We’re hitting report size and site data size limitations. Error messages are becoming more common place, some with no permanent solution. Java support within Browsers is being eliminated. SAP/Business Object support is severely lacking. We now have 3 reporting tools – ART, ReportWriter, and Canned Reports Not meeting the newer, evolving needs of our customers. And the biggest reason of all…
6
What’s Going On? To update BOXI Web Intelligence to the latest version would require: Completely re-creating all universes All reports would need to be recreated (custom, gallery, and your personal reports) Re-training of staff as the appearance/functionality is quite different
7
What Do We Need? What do we need? A unified, singular reporting tool
A real-time, scalable reporting solution Compatible with latest browsers and operating systems Must be able to reproduce paper and electronic reports and documents User-friendly software and interface

The New Reporting Tool Is….
SENSE v. 3.0

Current News After extensive contract negotiations, we now have Qlik Sense installed on various internal demo sites and are undergoing rigorous internal trainings. Success in recreating a handful of gallery reports when using a demo database based on a preliminary table structure. What you are seeing now is still being discussed and edited. Like ART, it will be integrated in ServicePoint 6x but more of an overlay in ServicePoint 5x, and may go by another name.

Branding and Organization
Just like SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence was relabeled “ART”, expect similar branding with Qlik Sense. Gallery and Canned Reports will be completely redone. Searching and keyword/tagging reports is a functionality available in Qlik Sense. Canned Reports will be phased into ServicePoint 6x over time.
22
Costs ServicePoint 5x – Qlik will be available to any ART license holder at no additional cost in 2017. ServicePoint 6x – Qlik will be available at the same rates as ART for all existing contracts.
23
ServicePoint 5x Support
ART will be available in ServicePoint 5x as long as browsers continue to support either View Report or Edit Report. Our SAP contract extends beyond ART will continue to exist in ServicePoint 5x as long as functionally and contractually possible. Qlik Sense will be available alongside ART in ServicePoint 5x. Unknown at this time how integrated with our ServicePoint 5x interface. ReportWriter will remain available in ServicePoint 5x. Canned Reports will remain in ServicePoint 5x until they are fully reproduced in Qlik Sense. Canned Reports will be individually phased out as they are recreated in Qlik Sense. Audit Reports may remain canned for propriety and security reasons.
24
ServicePoint 5x Support
Any reports created in ART or ReportWriter will need to be re-created in Qlik Sense. They will not be imported into Qlik Sense. It is highly recommend to take advantage of the availability of Qlik Sense, ART, and ReportWriter to reproduce your favorite reports. Customers are responsible for the rebuilding of their reports. Please reach out to Bowman Systems for additional assistance in re-creating your reports to Qlik Sense. Bowman developed a “Access Report” that will tell customers what are their most popular customer created ART reports. We are aware of the need for an “Access Report” for ReportWriter as well. If you have a ART license, you’ll have a Qlik Sense license.
25
ServicePoint 6x Support
No ART. No ReportWriter. Canned HUD and Federal Partner Reports will remain in ServicePoint 6x until they are fully reproduced in Qlik Sense. Qlik Sense will be available on the same release date as ServicePoint 6x The goal is for every user to have a Qlik Sense license. Qlik Sense will be fully integrated into ServicePoint 6x, as much or more then ART 3x and ServicePoint 5x.
26
ServicePoint 5x to 6x Upgraders
Upgrading from SP5x to SP6x? Remember, ART is gone in SP6x. Qlik Sense reports created in SP5x will import to SP6x. If you have a ART license, you’ll have a Qlik Sense license.

Trainings

Reporting Tool Training Options
We have thousands of accounts with tens of thousands of users. The immediate need is to train as many large-groups as possible. Several options are being reviewed currently. Webinars and recordings will probably be our first round of training offerings. Boot Camp style regional trainings are another strong possibility. Individual account trainings will be addressed afterwards.
