2 Matrix Matrix: is a rectangular array of variables or constants in horizontal rows and vertical columns, usually enclosed in brackets. In a matrix each number or data is organized in a position for purpose. Element: each value in a matrix They are named by upper case letter Each matrix has a dimension (rows x column) See example

3 Special Matrices Row Matrix: a matrix with one row
Column Matrix: A matrix with only one column Square Matrix: A matrix with same number of rows and columns Zero Matrix: A matrix with each element is 0. Equal Matrices: have the same dimensions and all elements in both matrices have corresponding element. See example

4 Example Solve Equations involving Matrices Solve using Substitution
