3 Our ROOTS Amber leaf – is our warning leaf. It helps children to see that the choices they are currently making need reflecting upon. Children who fall to the yellow leaf are normally in learning zone 2 or 1 which do not show our optimal learning behaviours.

4 Our ROOTS Red leaf – is an indication that reflection time is necessary as continued wrong choices are being demonstrated. Once moved to the red leaf, children will have a minimum of 5 minutes reflection time at our designated zone in the classroom. Children are invited to think about the choices they have made, the root they have not followed and what they can do to restore good behaviour.

5 House Points This year we have introduced a house point system to reward the children for their achievements. 3 Teams: Green, Blue, Yellow 1 Teacher & 1 pupil house captains What can my child get points for?

6 Our Expectations As a school we expect that your child will:
Come to school on time and in the correct uniform. Come to school prepared to learn Bring in their reading record daily Read with an adult each day Wear the correct PE kit on PE days

15 SATs The Year 6 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) will be held on the week beginning Monday 8th May 2017 Children will be assessed in Reading, Spelling, Grammar and Maths.
