Participants will be able to…
communicate the logistics--what the TCEA Phase 7 assessment is, how it is made up, and when the assessment window occurs (Jan 2-June 16, 2017) setup online classes, enroll current students, and assign the right assessment events (POST TEST-Available Jan 2, 2017) access Learning.com Resources site for proctor and coordinator resources, including a script.

TCEA/Learning.com- Providing districts with the data they need to make a difference
Through a partnership with Learning.com, TCEA will offer all Texas districts a technology literacy assessment for 8th grade students at no cost to the district. The online assessment includes a blend of interactive, performance-based questions and multiple-choice, knowledge-based questions to measure and report technology literacy and skills for middle school students. The assessment will provide districts with the data they need to understand how well students have mastered TA-TEKS. Middle School Sample

Logistics Online assessment delivered to eighth graders via Learning.com Made up of 72 questions (Part 1 and 2 + optional survey) It takes on average 45 minutes. Assessment window: Jan 2 -June 16, 2017 District, campus, class and individual reports aligned to TA-TEKS

Scoring-4 Levels of Proficiency
Sample District Report Below Basic: The student is lacking basic skills for their grade level. Basic: The student has the skills that are appropriate for entering their grade level, but is not prepared for moving to the next grade level (9th grade). Proficient: The student is ready to advance to the next grade level. Advanced: The student has skills that are beyond the next grade level.
