2. What’s that music?
By now you have all heard the music that signifies the end of one lesson and the 3 minutes you have to get to your next lesson. Remember that once the music ends, you should be in your next class.
The piece is called “With You” by Jacky Chen, one of our 2018 YCIS Graduates.

3. Where does this music come from?
The name of the piece comes from the composer, Jacky, as he stated in his reflection, “the whole song makes me feel like it is a conversation between two people.” 
This piece is a melodic dubstep genre with the melody being mainly vocal, heavily influenced by the artist “Slushii, Marshmello.”  
There is an offbeat bass included with an organ joining in with the piano to enhance the overall mood of this piece.

4. Be The Change. Student Leadership is NEW this year
Be The Change! Student Leadership is NEW this year. One team, one vision, Student Council and Prefects combined.
Submit your application to be a YCIS Student Leader in 2018/19. Your submission can take any form; a letter, C.V, Video, poster etc. Tell us the strengths and skills you have to help work with other students to make YCIS a great school to be at.
Submissions to Ms Walter or Ms Brossman; or in person in A106. Submissions deadline Wednesday 5th September.

Phones, iPads and laptops will be confiscated if seen in the cafeteria

All Year 8 to12 new students should receive an from Managebac in your school . You need to follow the link to set your password and your account.
Ask you friends for help if you have trouble setting your account or you can go to room A200 to look for Mr Tan.

Year 7 students, you will have your Managebac account set up next week. Your homeroom teachers will assist you when it is ready.
