Class starts in Jenne. Class leader asks for advice and makes decisions. Record Sales/purchases and Events. Then have students write their opinions.
Spin to determine movement. (remember every space uses one food and water IN addition to whatever the slide indicates where they land.)

On spin of 6 they must resolve an event determined by another spin called the event spin.

You start with 10 units of gold and 500 credits in the city of Jenne with 20 food and 20 water.
To win you must end the game with 3000 credits.
To travel you have to click on the spinner on the map screen. If it spins on event you must resolve the resulting event by clicking on the word “Event” or “Spinner Events.”
You have many supplies to help you through the game. As you travel you use one water and one food for each space.
At cities you must stop unless you have a tent. Here you may buy more food and water and other supplies, equipment, or employees.
At cities you may purchase additional goods or sell goods.
If you ever run out of goods and money you lose.
If you ever run out of food or water you lose.

39. Equipment Guide Return to Map
Food- allows you to survive and travel. One space (including cities) costs one food. If you run out of food die.
Water- allows you to survive and travel. One space (including cities) costs one water. If you run out of water die.
Guards- protect you from raiders. Guards also allow you to move one extra space.
Medicine- protects you from getting sick. When sick take it to heal yourself.
Guide- Helps guide you to a destination. Allows you to re-spin your movement. Also you may pay him 50 extra to find food and water in the desert. Only lasts between cities.
Tent- Protects you from sandstorms and heatstroke. Also lets you travel through a city without stopping.
Info- allows you to view the value of goods in a adjacent city.
Learn Arabic- No translator needed, -5 to purchase costs and +5 to sell value.
Convert to Islam- Avoid Islamic taxes.
Camel- carry an extra 10 items.
Islamic Achievements- YOU’VE WITNESSED HISTORY gain 100 at the end of the game.

Choose a leader, inventory specialist, accountant, record keeper.
Leader- makes the final call.
Inventory specialist- keeps track of all equipment, supplies, and employees.
Accountant- analyzes selling and purchasing figures.
Record Keeper- keeps track of city information.
