4 Earth’s Moon Earth’s gravitation pull keeps the moon in orbit around our planet. The moon’s gravitation pull causes the Earth’s tides (see Unit 5!) The Earth’s moon is slightly younger (95 million years) than the Earth (4.5 billion years).
