What to Revise? FOR THE PICTURES QUESTIONS:
Simply look through all the photos and pictures in your book and Exam Papers and ask….. What is that? What was it for? Who made it? Who is that person? What do I know about him/her? For Example:
5
For the Documents Questions:
Read over as many Documents from your exam papers as possible and answer all the questions. For the Short Questions: Go through all the Short Questions in your exam papers. When reading through Chapters make sure you know what important words mean: (eg: Dendro-chronology, or Black & Tans, etc)
6
For the People in History Questions:
Learn the Sample Answers and PRACTISE writing them out in mins. For Questions Five & Six: Just do good general revision of the main topics. Make sure to revise sections like Ireland in the 1960’s and World War II etc well!

Remember…. Timing is CRUCIAL….
You must finish the paper, so make sure you divide up your time correctly and ensure that you have enough time (approx 10 mins) to read back over your answers at the end of the examination. Don’t panic…. If you “go blank” on a question, move on to the next one and come back to it later. Keep writing… If you have 15 mins to answer a question, then WRITE FOR 15 MINUTES! It is not a “sprint”; there are no extra marks for the person who finishes first!
8
SIGNIFICANT RELEVANT POINTS:
Make sure that your answers are filled with as many fact, figures and specific pieces of information as possible. Avoid the vague, meaningless “Columbus was a very brave man” kind of stuff!!
