Suggestions for productive conflict: Remind the team that avoiding conflict is natural, but it is not they way to come up with the best ideas and solutions. 2. Ask if others have questions or concerns. Be sure to keep nonverbal and verbal communication in mind. 3. Be as clear as possible with decisions and actions. Clarify so everyone is on the same page. Develop a worst case scenario and talk through it as a group to help reach solutions. Problem Solving teamwork

Organize your Team Focusing Meetings Keeping Projects on Track Did you establish ground rules? Have you talked about everyone’s expectations? Did you talk about each member’s roles? Has everyone been included in the discussions? Have you discussed strengths & weaknesses as a team? Did you identify which skills everyone contributes? Does the team draft an agenda at the prior meeting? Does the team use meeting summaries? Did everyone participate in the meeting? Did everyone walk away with goals? What decision techniques have you used? Does everyone come prepared? Did the team develop a project plan? Did the team use a milestone chart to spread out responsibilities and establish due dates? Absolutely the BEST way to avoid problems is to develop an environment where team members are comfortable expressing opinions. Problem solving teamwork
