12 Summaries Station 1: Dominant side
Your dominant side muscles are bigger because they are constantly used daily for everyday tasks. Because of this they are able to use are memory of how to do tasks and therefore complete tasks faster. When you use both sides of your body, the nerve path is longer so it takes the signal longer to get to and from the brain

13 Summaries Station 2: Feeling Objects
We were able to feel both toothpicks closer together on our fingers because there are more neurons in that area and they are smaller.

14 Summaries Station 3: Temperature
It was harder to pick up the pennies after putting our hand in the ice water because our blood supply was decreased and therefore our neurons were unable to transmit a signal. Also the chemicals that are sent to each neuron are moving slowly so the signals get sent slowly.

15 Summaries Station 4: Blind Spot
The spot where the optic nerve enters the eye prevents there from being any rods or cones in that area. So in some parts of our visual field we are unable to see objects because the rods and cones are missing, which enable us to see objects and colors.
