Dudley/Burns: We will continue reading Steal Away Home this week. Students will be responsible for vocabulary on the test. Test over Chapters 1-14 will be on Friday.
Marrero: We will continue reading Class Clown this week. Students will be responsible for vocabulary test on Thursday.
1st Nine Week Language Skills: conjunctions, prepositions, interjections, commas in a series, context clues, Greek and Latin roots
SCHEDULE:
MONDAY: 4-H Mtg.
TUESDAY: No GT this week
WEDNESDAY: SS Unit 1 Test.
THURSDAY: Marrero Vocabulary Test on Class Clown
FRIDAY: Spirit Day; Kona Ice; Dudley/Burns Comp. Test Steal Away Home Chapters 1-14.
Math: This week we will work on multiplying and dividing whole numbers. Students will multiply 1-digit and 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers. Students will also practice dividing with 1 and 2-digit divisors.
SCIENCE: This week we will begin Unit 2: Magnetism and Electricity. Students will be introduced to natural electricity (static) and human-harnessed electricity.
SS: This week we will complete Unit 1: Turn of the Century America. Our Unit 1 Test is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 29, Please review study guide nightly.
