By involving pop stars who are the idles of young people political parties hope to get attraction by association. For example Liam Gallagher associated himself with Tony Blair’s New Labour project and the lead singer of Cold Play has spoken about his support for David Cameron and the Conservative party.

By running citizenship classes in schools and by doing the power and politics sociology module in some schools and colleges the government is hoping to overcome the idea that young people know nothing about politics.

Postal voting has been used and there has been talk of using voting as a way of getting younger people to vote as s have become a normal way of communicating for the younger generation.
