UHCC Enrollment In UH Second Decade Project, UHCC place special emphasis on state regions that have been underserved by postsecondary education and/or training. Regions are: Wai‘anae, Ewa, and North Shore (Oahu), West Hawai‘i and East Hawai‘i (Hawai‘i), and Maui County.

35 Part-Time Initiative UHCC Initiative
Part-time learners face barriers classified as attitudinal, institutional, or situational. Longer it takes to earn degree or transfer to a 4-year institution, lessens likelihood that a student will achieve success. Part-time students enrolled in 6-11 credits per semester are a concern. UHCC Part-Time Student Committee’s charge is to help the UHCC better understand needs, obstacles, and opportunities for success.
