2 PDLA Advantages and Indications
Immediate onset – no latency time Profound single tooth anesthesia Simple extractions Cavity preparations Endodontic treatments Scaling etc. Overcomes failed conventional techniques – efficient supplement to inefficient blocks and infiltrations Teeth in more than one quadrant can be treated at the same sitting.

3 PDLA Advantages and Indications
Gentle pain control due to a very small injection dose No soft tissue numbness Replaces most palatal injections Reduces substantially the risk of haematoma Contra-indications Acute infections Deep periodontal pockets

4 PDLA with PAROJECT® The needle is introduced into the gingival sulcus along the mesial or distal tooth surface until the alveolar bone crest is contacted (2-3 mm into the periodontal space). To avoid trauma of the root surface, the needle should be introduced with the bevel facing the root.

5 PDLA with PAROJECT® With the needle in the injection site, rotate the needle a few degrees to allow an unobstructed flow into the spongious bone. Inject slowly (5-10 sec. per click). Visible sign of efficiency = blanching of gingiva around the injection site.

6 PDLA with PAROJECT® If necessary to reach distal locations, the needle can be bent by using the sterile inside of the needle cap.

7 Why PAROJECT®? Features and Benefits
Safety Permits slow and controlled injection. Injects only 0.06 ml per “click” permitting non-traumatic injection. Risk of cartridge breakage virtually eliminated. However, the barrel is designed to protect the patient if it should happen. Ergonomics Compact and user friendly design. Good “feel” / tactile control during injection.

8 Why PAROJECT®? Features and Benefits
Durability Made from high-grade acid resistant stainless steel and heat resistant polymer. Withstands sterilization by any method (max. 200ºC / 390ºF). No chromium plating to come loose. Simplicity Easy to load, unload and clean. Takes standard dental cartridges and needles. Non intimidating pen-style design.

9 To load PAROJECT® Disassemble the syringe into two parts – barrel and lever housing. Remove the plunger by pulling it through the lever housing. Screw on a disposable dental needle. 30G X-short Septoject needle with bevel indicator.

10 To load PAROJECT® Insert a standard cartridge into the barrel.
Screw the barrel onto the the lever housing. Push the plunger through the lever housing until contact is made with cartridge. NOTE: The plunger can only be inserted by the rear end of the lever housing, and with the smallest smooth part first.

11 Maintenance of the PAROJECT®
Can be sterilized by any method up to 200º C/392 F. Like all stainless steel instruments, the syringe should be cleaned and carefully rinsed before sterilization (Anaesthetic solutions are highly acidic). When attention is paid to the above, PAROJECT® will function and appear as new for many years.
