8 Key Safety Initiatives at Dominion:
We focus on employee engagement. Local shop Safety Committees Get employees involved Address local issues Set shop goals Worked with Local unions to develop an employee safety survey Teamed with union leadership to conduct the Survey in 1st quarter 2011 Communication was identified as an issue. Employees were not aware of injuries or motor vehicle accidents.

Pre Job Briefings Take 5 Driver Safety Ergonomic Focus – Sprain / Strain Events Process Safety Committees Field Services Construction

Joint Sr. Management / Sr. Union Leadership Safety Committees Quarterly Meetings Negotiated into Bargaining Unit Agreement Key safety concerns given “hi visibility” Action Items are reviewed at each meeting until resolved

15 Driver Safety Partner with Drive Team
All Supervisors attended as part of Supervisor Safety Meetings We recognized employees are being placed into vehicles they do not understand Drive Team teaches: Pivot Points Rotation Points Backing Hand Signals Braking 850 + employees trained Accident Repair costs down in 2012 2013 – Developing further in house training

16 Ergonomics Employees were educated on the importance of pre job stretching / ergonomics through: Safety Videos Meet and Greets at the local shops Ergonomic Communications and Pamphlets Physical Therapist helped us revise physical test for construction positions Employee’s developed comfort level with PT, which made it easier to seek the Therapist opinion when dealing with minor incidents.

identify risks and reduce exposure Expand “process” safety committees Working to increase availability of Physical Therapist Benchmark Best Practices with other Local Utilities Continue Focus on Driver Training
