10 Athletic Trainer Jeff Mossburg
His goal is to return student-athletes to play as safely and quickly as possible Symptoms of concussion: the student-athlete will be removed from contest / practice. Must get a release from physician. This is an Indiana State Law Leave inhalers with your coach so there is one always available

11 Plan on having student-athlete ride the bus to and from games
If there is an emergency, talk to the coach and complete the travel permission form All forms need to be turned in 24 hours in advance Forms can be found on the athletic webpage

12 Abide by all IHSAA and local rules/laws.
Represent Eastern in a positive way. Understand officials will make mistakes. They’re human. Encourage all athletes and teams positively. Foul/abusive language will not be tolerated towards student-athletes, coaches, officials, and other fans. Zero Tolerance- If an official approaches administration about a fan/parents behavior, that fan/parent will be asked to leave.

13 Step 1- Player meets with the coach to discuss the issue/concern
Step 2- set up an appointment with the coach if not satisfied Please do not confront a coach prior to, during or after a practice or contest (24 Hour Rule) If not satisfied, set up an appointment with the Athletic Director Misinformation and rumors are one of biggest challenges we face Let the coaches coach. Enjoy the ride, it’s over before you know it. PLEASE CONTACT ATHLETIC OFFICE WITH CONCERNS OR QUESTIONS

14 The “Limited Contact Program” replaces the “Open Facility Program”
Allows coaches to work directly with student‐athletes two days a week for two hours a day. The restriction of working with only two athletes was removed. There are three distinct seasons when limited contact may occur for out of season sports. Fall - August 27th - October 13th Winter – December 3rd – February 2nd Spring – April 1st – May 11th

15 Conditioning may be conducted every day of the week (excluding Sundays).
Exception: Students in team sports who participate in a Limited Contact Program which immediately precedes that team sports’ season may continue to participate in the Limited Contact Program until that team sports’ first official practice date.

16 $25 for Students $25 for Senior Citizens $70 for Adults $165 Familiy

17 Support the coaches and their philosophy
Encourage attendance at strength training & skill development opportunities Support the coaches and their philosophy Your student-athlete will do better and the team will be better.
