Volunteer Training Parents must complete Creek View’s Volunteer Training before helping in the classroom Volunteer Training is now available online through Fulton County Schools website.

Homework Should take approximately 20 minutes ELA = 4 nights per week
Math/Science/SS = 3 nights per week We encourage students read 15 minutes each nigh

Student Progress REPORT CARDS are sent out every nine weeks.
There will be three Progress Reports sent home during the school year.

Students start out “ready to learn” each day. They have chances to move their clips up and down based on behavior. Brag Tags Small Group System Table tallies given Promotes working cooperatively Whole Group System Marbles given for walking appropriately in hallways Class vote on incentives

Writing We will be following a writing workshop model. Lucy Caulkins
Students will complete several narrative, informational, and opinion pieces throughout the year.

Spelling Spelling words will be sent home each Monday
Students will be expected to write their words in their agendas and study at home. Quiz over these words every Friday

Launch of new website ( 2 Fundraisers: Fall Annual Giving Fund & Basket Raffle Financial Support – over $24,000 budgeted to support Grade level projects & Departments to benefit all students Volunteers – support CVES activities (Science Lab & more) Spirit Wear – T-shirts, PJs, Hoodies, Dry-Fit Shirts, Tumblers Community events – Screen on the Green (Sept. 30th), Cheetah Challenge (Dec. 3rd), Books and Bingo (Jan. 20th), Basket Raffle (March 24th) Register your profile online & Join the PTA. Memberships start at $10.

Think First, Stay Safe TFSS is a research-based program that will help ensure the personal safety of children through increased awareness, education, advocacy and action. The lessons are presented during your child’s guidance time with Mrs. Emerson. 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade lessons will be in the fall K, 1st, and 2nd grade lessons will be in the spring You may preview the curriculum tonight or contact Chris Emerson regarding any questions. All students will participate unless as a parent you choose to opt out of the lesson.
