Meiosis occurs IMMEDIATELY after zygote is formed

5. Wild-type = black spores Mutant = tan spores.
By using 2 different strains of Sordaria, we can see the products of meiosis
Wild-type = black spores
Mutant = tan spores.
When the 2 strains mate, we can follow their chromosomes (spore color)
during meiosis.
