China has a population of 1.3 billion people and is the most populous country in the world. (Might be surpassed by India in the near future).
There are 56 sub-races in China and Han is the dominating which account for more than 90% of the whole population.

5. One-Child Policy
In traditional Chinese culture, people tend to have as many sons as possible.
The One-Child Policy was carried out first around According to this policy, most families are allowed to have only one child, with some exceptions, e.g. the first child has some severe illness.
It’s extremely difficult to execute this policy at the beginning, but people gradually get used to it.

Generally speaking, the policy is a good thing. The growth of population is under control now.
“Little emperors” and “little princesses” : Children are spoiled and tend to be self-centered.
Life in rural area is difficult for aged parents who don’t have a son.

Young people tend to have only one child even if they are allowed to have more. The traditional values that have lasted for thousands of years have been changed.
Aging problem: Currently China has more than 130 million senior citizens who are above 60, more than 10 percent of the total population. In the next 50 years China will face even severer situation of aging population.
