Doodle Drive Team 6

2 Abstract Android application as controller
Robot vehicle with microcontroller Paths will be drawn in Android application and the vehicle will follow that path Outdoor mode with GPS, Google Maps, Compass Indoor mode with simple steering wheel

3 Packaging constraints
The vehicle should be durable and able to move on rugged terrains. Wheels Chassis –large enough to fit the components (GPS, compass etc) Portable Rechargeable battery with on-board charging Fuel gauge User-friendly and simple GUI on the Android Simple steering wheel (Indoor Mode) Google Maps (Outdoor Mode) On-screen vehicle battery level Toggle switch between Indoor and Outdoor Mode

4 Similarity with other products
I-Racer Doodle Drive Components Bluetooth Bluetooth, compass, ultrasonic sensors and GPS Wheels 4 small wheels suitable for flat terrain 4 large wheels suitable for rugged terrain Size 227 x 146 x 87 mm 342 x 273 x 120 mm Power Management USB On-Board charging On-Board charging Platform Simple w/ PCB mounted on top -we chose to base our packaging design on the I-Racer. This is because the I-Racer is a simple platform with the PCB board mounted on top. It also has four wheels instead of 2 wheels with a caster wheel. However, our vehicle will be a little larger and should be able to run better on rugged terrains. The wheels shown in the picture is not the ones we’re actually using. Also, the I-Racer has a plastic cover over the platform, which will be a little difficult for our vehicle since we have the ultrasonic sensors.
