Alec Ramsay first saw the Black Stallion when his ship docked at a small Arabian port on the Red Sea.

Little did he dream then that the magnificent wild horse was destined to play an important part in his life.

White lather ran from the horse’s body; his mouth was open, his teeth bared. He was a giant of a horse.

His head was beautiful. The head of the wildest of all wild creatures - a stallion born wild, savage, splendid, strong.

A stallion with physical perfection that matched his ruthless spirit. He screamed and rose up on his massive hind legs.

Alec could hardly believe his eyes and ears - a wild stallion - unbroken. Alec had dreamed of just such a horse.

Two ropes led from the halter on the horse’s head
Two ropes led from the halter on the horse’s head. Four men were attempting to pull the stallion on board.

Alex saw a man walk to the back of the horse and let his whip fall hard upon the horse’s hindquarters.

The stallion snorted, plunged and bolted, knocking over the men holding the ropes. Alex saw hate on the stallion’s face.
