Certification Manual Review
Reviewed the technology section as requested by the Union Directors Held considerable discussions regarding the use and terms of “micro-credentials” and “CEU’s” and what role they should play in the certification process

Kendall Hunt and Virtual Reality
Presently, 24 learning units and 72 assessments available for grades 5-8 for use as virtual field trips or teacher-led instruction Pricing: TBD $1,200-$1,500/unit plus $$1,600.00/per year $4, over three years for the site license. Six Unions are receiving one complete unit to be sent to and shared by interested schools Atlantic, Lake, Mid-America, North Pacific, Southern, Southwestern

Big Tin Can Pilot SW Union, in conjunction with the NAD, is piloting the BigTinCan platform this spring. Emphasis will be on supporting the REACH and 1 to 1 iPad initiatives BigTinCan is a collaboration point to share master documents, obtain training, hold conversations and obtain professional development and resources

National Teacher’s convention 2018
Will be using the app Whova to inform participants of seminar locations, breakout sessions and scheduling Convention website ( is active and sharing information on housing, schedules and more Don’t forget to suggest/sign up to be a presenter!

Jupiter Pricing for Jupiter iO WITHOUT ONLINE FORMS, REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS: $6 per student per year for the same services we offer now. Jupiter iO WITH ONLINE FORMS, REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS (SCHOOL & PARENT PAY MODEL): $6 per student per year paid by the school, parents will be charged $18 per student that gets registered at the schools. There is a $500 one-time set-up fee per conference and a $360 yearly fee for the conference. Jupiter iO WITH ONLINE FORMS, REGISTRATION AND PAYMENTS (PARENT PAY MODEL): $0 per student per year paid by the school, parents will be charged $24 per student that gets registered at the schools.
