A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math students are continuing to learn strategies for adding together two 2-digit numbers. Students will also begin learning to combine various coin amounts to add together how much money they have in all. You can work on coin recognition and value at home as some students are still struggling to identify the coins and their value.
-During writing time this week we will be finishing up our unit on Opinion Writing. Students will be writing an opinion story on their favorite toy. We will also be writing and creating special gifts for our Moms!
-Our Core Knowledge time will switch to our last unit of study on the Frontier Explorers. We will begin learning about Daniel Boone and his travels west, Presidents Jefferson and Monroe, and the Louisiana Purchase.
