5 What does the principal want to know?
Are you flexible and well- certified? Can you fill multiple roles? What will you be able to contribute to the school as a whole? Will you “fit” with the staff and philosophy of the school? Are you a team player? Will you be successful with my school’s students and their parents? Will you make it 5 years? What makes you worth the investment? Have students think about what a principal wants to know. Discuss questions on slide. Tell students that the purpose of a cover letter and resume is to get the interview. Ask – If you were a principal and you needed an English position filled at your school, would you call Sally Sample? Have students pair up and share draft resumes. How do their resumes address the questions? What does the principal want to know?
