Figure Serum calcium, 25-hydroxyvitamin D, and parathyroid hormone levels during treatment with estramustine. The asterisk (*) indicates beginning of treatment. Calcium supplementation alone begun on July 17 did not significantly change the serum calcium level. Vitamin D supplementation begun on August 7 increased calcium to a near-normal level.
