1 Lesson 7.1 How do you write ratios and find unit rates?
To write a ratio, you make a fraction comparing the two numbers and reduce the fraction.

2 Lesson 7.2 How do you write and solve proportions?
To write a proportion, you set two ratios equal to each other. When you write the proportion the ratios must compare corresponding quantities. You can solve a proportion as though it’s an equation and isolate the variable. You can use cross products to solve.

3 Lesson 7.3 How do you solve percent problems using proportions?
By writing a percent as a fraction, you can use a proportion to solve a percent problem. 𝑎 𝑏 = 𝑝 100

4 Lesson 7.4 How do you convert between fractions, decimals and percents? To write a percent as a decimal, you can divide by 100. To write a decimal as a percent, you can multiply by 100. To write p% as a fraction, use p as the numerator and 100 as the denominator. Reduce. To write a fraction as a percent, create an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100.

5 Lesson 7.5 How do you solve problems with percent of increase or decrease? You will use the percent of change formula to solve problems with a percent of increase or decrease.

6 Lessons 7.6 How do you solve percent application problems?
To solve percent application problems, you will multiply the percent by the price to find sales tax, tip, markup and discount. You will then either add or subtract to find a sale price, retail price or total cost.

7 Lessons 7.7 How do you solve percent problems using the percent equation? Write the percent equation. Substitute the values you know. Solve for the unknown variable. Remember, of means multiplication and is means equals.

8 Lessons 7.8 How do you find the probability of an event?
To find the probability of an event you will use a formula. Theoretical probability favorable outcomes total number of outcomes Experimental probability number of successes number of trials
