Projectile Motion EXAMPLE
Projectile motion can be defined as that motion an object has when the acceleration is constant. EXAMPLE A ball is thrown up into the air. Parabolic path Press The acceleration due to gravity is ALWAYS the same vector, downwards.

Projectile motion can be modelled as two velocity vectors, a horizontal one that does not change and a vertical one that undergoes constant acceleration. vv v When an object is thrown/fired it has a velocity vector, v. This vector can be shown to be the sum of two vectors, vv & vh. vh

If the vertical and horizontal components are separated, the problem becomes simple.
