Scripture Reading: II Corinthians 5:17-20
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old had gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
3
Apostle Paul was an ambassador (Eph 6:19-20)
We are to be ambassadors (II Cor 5:20) “…our citizenship is in heaven.” (Phil 3:20)
4
As ambassadors our job is not just to “be nice” but,
we have a message! It must be delivered. Our home country [heaven] has a message for this world: There is a savior! There is freedom! There is a great life! There is heaven!

“The truth shall make you free” [John 8:32]
I. BE TRUE “The truth shall make you free” [John 8:32] “Thy word is truth” [John 17:17] Truth should be: acknowledged, believed, loved, obeyed, manifested, rightly divided True ambassadors of Christ must go directly and only to the Word of God.

II. BE FEARLESS Commands:
“So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’” [Heb 13:6] “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” [I Cor 15:58]
7
Examples: Acts 4:18-20 (before unbelievers)
Galatians 2:11-14 (before erring believers) True ambassadors are fearlessly true to their convictions and stand up for the message.

III. BE NICE “Lovingkindess and truth have met together. Righteousness
and peace have kissed each other.” [Psalm 85:10] “Righteousness and justice are the foundations of Thy throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before Thee.” [Ps 89:14] “Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” ‘Prov 3:3] Romans 12:17-21 True ambassadors will be firm, clear and unwavering—while being respectful and loving
9
IV. BE OPEN Having courage of your convictions is not always a virtue—especially if you have wrong conviction Acts 17:11 True ambassadors must have the integrity to examine their convictions and change them when appropriate
10
V. BE ACTIVE Nothing has been devised that more effectively communicates Jesus Christ more than a consecrated life. “Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might.” [Eccl 9:10] “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” [I Cor 15:58] True ambassadors will be known for their radiant, active lives of service.
