5. Jacob is in Veterinarian School, but after his
parents die, Jacob leaves and joins the circus.
Here, he becomes the veterinarian for the animals
that are in the circus.

6. Marlena rides the horses in the circus, but one of
the horses is hurt and has to die. Instead of the
horses, Marlena now rides Rosie, an elephant
that they bought for the circus.

7. When he is working, Jacob meets Marlena and
falls in love with her. But, Marlena is married to
August, who is very mean and gets into fights a lot

8. Rosie only understands the language Polish, so
Jacob teaches Polish to August, who works with
Rosie in the circus show.

9. Soon, Jacob and Marlena fall in love with each
other and want to run away, but they have no
where to go. After one show, August gets into a
fight with Marlena and hurt her very badly.
Now she knows she must run away.

10. Marlena becomes pregnant with Jacob's child, so
they want to get married. They plan to leave after
the circus one day. But, during the circus, there is
a stampede, and all the animals are set loose.

11. During the stampede, August dies when Rosie
steps on him. Jacob and Marlena are safe during
the stampede.

12. Jacob and Marlena run away together and get
married. They join another circus with Rosie and
raise a family.
