2 Charles Lindbergh was a famous pilot or aviator.

3 Charles Lindbergh made the first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean on May 20-21, Other pilots had crossed the Atlantic before him, but he was the first person to do it alone nonstop.

4 cockpit (noun): a compartment for the pilot and sometimes also the crew in an aircraft or spacecraft

5 tether (verb): to fasten or tie onto to

6 propeller (noun): a device with a hub and blades for moving an airplane, ship, or other type of machine
