4 Review and Reflect The Project Manager will consult with faculty leaders and campus administrators to address how the GWP fits into campus internationalization goals and plans, including existing initiatives such as freshman seminars, Global Scholars programs, specialized general education programs, international living communities, programs for international students, etc.

5 Imagine The Project Manager will meet with campus stakeholders to brainstorm how to integrate the GWP into the campus/system general education program and other agreed-upon programs of interest.

6 Revise and Plan The Campus Coordinator(s) and
GWP Project Manager will devise an implementation plan and timeline to carry-out the program and meet agreed-upon targets.

7 Act Professional Development Program Curriculum Implementation
Online Training Presentations and activity sheets to guide faculty to revise course goals Tutorials to help faculty create assignments that demonstrate holistic thinking Tutorials to use technology to transform classrooms In-depth course on understanding cross-cultural issues, which provides example create assignments that strengthen cross-cultural interactions In-Person Session(s): Customized to address campus needs and challenges Curriculum Implementation Participation in Learning Communities: Existing SUNY communities and new communities to be built for the participating campus/system/consortia

Effectiveness of Professional Development Program Achievement of student learning outcomes Student skill attainment Institutionalization and Sustainability Tools Surveys for online and in-person training sessions Skills assessments: Holistic Thinking Rubric, AACU Intercultural Values Rubric, and Self-Reporting Survey on Technology Use Faculty and student interviews Final Report will be provided.

9 GWP Outcomes Strengthen general education programs by internationalizing curriculum Increase number and quality of courses that teach GWP skills and global-based knowledge Provide faculty with necessary development sessions and tools to take full advantage of using GWP resources so all students will be ready to utilize strengths in communicating with culturally diverse audiences Empower faculty to use diverse resources in the classroom and in the community, including the resource of employers, to strengthen collaborative partnerships needed to more closely align postsecondary education with workforce and community needs

10 GWP Outcomes Engage college faculty with a GWP blueprint to internationalize their teaching with innovative pedagogy and competency-based outcomes, to ensure a learning-centered shift Build upon already developed global skills assessment tools to accurately measure the attainment by students of the global skills of holistic thinking, cross cultural communication, and digital technology competence Energize faculty and administrators to make institutional decisions based on the effectiveness of the GWP and related curricular internationalization efforts Build on the background and global experiences already present among many college students who themselves are foreign-born, first generation, and/or returning veterans from military service abroad.
