Review Pfaelzer’s quotes/quotations, anecdotes, and use of rhetorical devices in which you took note and responded.
Choose one of Pfaelzer’s quotes/quotations, anecdotes, or examples of a rhetorical device from last week’s reading assignment and share it with your partner or group members.
This should take five minutes.
At the end of the five minutes, choose which classmate will share his or her highlights with the rest of the class.

Create five questions that you would like to discuss during the Socratic Seminar that will be held on Friday, December 12, 2018.
Bring evidence (quotes, quotations, examples, anecdotes) from Cullen’s The American Dream as a springboard for each of your questions.
TOPIC: Is Pfaelzer’s analysis correct: Although they faced numerous obstacles, the Chinese Americans were able to strive for the American Dream?
This Socratic Seminar will count as a test grade.
