5 Trading Cards You will create NINE trading cards for the key people of the Indian Removal. Use your textbook 192 – 203 to provide the following information about each person: -Name -Dates (birth/death) -Provide background information -Explain the persons role in the Indian Removal including treaties, actions, outcomes.

6 Sequoya (model) Dates: 1760 Native American Tribe: Cherokee Background: Sequoya's father was a Virginia scout and his mother was a Cherokee Princess. He was crippled due to an illness or hunting accident. He worked with silver since he was unable to farm or hunt.

7 Explain their role in the Indian Removal (model)
Sequoya worked for ten years to create a syllabary for the Cherokee people. He was sent all over the territory to teach others his system. Within six months, most tribes were able to read and write the language. The Cherokee Nation gave him a medal a gift of $500 for life. This could be considered an effort by Sequoya to conform to the ways of the settlers in order to avoid conflict.
