A Note From the Kindergarten Teachers
We are practice Habit 3 of the 7 Habits. Habit 3 is Put First Things First. In kindergarten terms that means first we work, then we play.
Please read with your child every night.
Please make sure your child does his/her homework and practice his/her sight words.
If you have not scheduled a conference with your child’s teacher please do so.
A Peek At What We Are Learning
Reading
We have been learning about the setting of stories. Now we are starting to learn about asking and answering questions while we read.
Writing
We are writing simple sentences with our sight words.
Math
We have been practicing writing numbers and comparing groups of objects by seeking if one has more, less or if they are the same. We are now starting to learn about shapes.
Fundations
We are continuing to learn letter sounds and how to properly write letters.
