Mostly nitrogen and oxygen

The degree or intensity of heat present in a substance or object

10. Fahrenheit or Celsius?
In science, we use Celsius because it is universally easier to understand
It is a scale where 0 is the temperature where water freezes, and 100 is the temperature where water boils

In meteorology, the fall of water, ice, or snow onto the Earth’s surface from the atmosphere
In out part of California, it’s typically just rain…but not always!!

14. Humidity – What is it?
Is a ratio of the amount of moisture present in the atmosphere relative to the amount that would be present if the air were saturated. 

15. Cloud Cover – What is it?
The fraction (or portion) of the sky filled with clouds
It is important to know what kinds of clouds, as well as how much of them there are, which we will explore later
