8 How do I do the move? SharePoint 2007 Sites?
DB Attach to SP2010 stsadm.exe -o preupgradecheck If you have customizations in your 2007 sites, prepare to push back that vacation you had planned. (Or your admins)

Analyze the report and Fix the following settings: • Identify any third party components used and deploy them to SharePoint and SharePoint 2013 site. E.g. Nintex, 3rd party features, including web parts, solutions and custom workflows • Setup Incoming/Outgoing settings in SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013environment • Modified Web.Config entries • Configure Alternate Access Mappings (AAM) • Find the missing webpart, event receivers or features if any and delete them

Analyze the report and Fix the following settings: • Backup the databases from the Old SQL instance • Restored the databases in the new SQL instance • Modified Web.Config entries • Configure Alternate Access Mappings (AAM) • Find the missing webpart, event receivers or features if any and delete them

1.moved 300GB of data from SharePoint 2003 to SharePoint (Failed scenario’s when explorer view copy and paste, due to network hiccups etc) 2.600 site collections in SharePoint > SharePoint 2010, 2013. Real World Applications Moving file shares of data into Departmental libraries with specific meta tagging. Take advantage of newer technologies o365, SharePoint 2013 newsfeed. Yammer!!! Why would I ever want to do this?
