I am writing to you to apply for the position of house-sitter. I read about the job offer on an advertisement recently, and I am wiling to start.

The nature of my degree in English Literature has prepared me for this position because I can speak English and Spanish fluently, and, as a result, I can work in different countries.
In June 2017, I finished a degree in English Literature in the University of Exeter. During my studies, I spent a year in Spain where I taught English while improving my level of spoken Spanish. Consequently, I am able to speak both languages fluently. I strongly believe that my language skills together with my love for travelling make me a strong candidate for the job.
