2. Habitat
The Kitti’s hog-nosed bat mainly lives in Thailand in Sai Yok National Park here it is endangered. Anywhere else it can be found it is unprotected. In Thailand it occupies limestone caves along rivers.

3. Appearance
The Kitti’s Hog-nosed Bat has dark brown fur and wings of a slightly darker color. Like all other bats it has dark brown wing that help it fly and catch prey. This specific bat has a pig-like snout which is how it got its strange name. The Kitti’s hog-nosed bat is also the smallest species of bat and about the size of a large paper clip. Not only that but it is also the smallest known mammal.

4. Diet
Like many other micro-bats the Kitti’s hog-nosed bat feasts off of insects it finds using echolocation.

5. Conclusion
Bats are not the scary creatures that fly around drinking blood. They very helpful to our environment, and are becoming extinct. Imagine how many bugs there would be without their help.
