1 Please Turn up Volume

2 Diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) on 10/5/2007.
What I Have Learned By Chris Norman Diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) on 10/5/2007.

3 I have learned that the most important things in life are the ones done with love.

4 I have learned that playing and laughing are one of the healthiest things we can do.

5 I have learned that we live in a world full of miracles: the love we have for our mates and friends, the birth of our children, and the sounds of laughter are all miracles.

6 I have learned that it is impossible to be grateful and not be happy.

7 I have learned that an individual who has cultivated forgiveness has a sense of peace.

8 I have learned that emotions only have the strength we allow.
This is especially true of fear, worry, anger, and jealousy.

9 I have learned that there is a natural rhythm to the universe
I have learned that there is a natural rhythm to the universe. The sun rises. The sun sets. Tides sweep in. Tides sweep out. Nothing stands still. Everything flows to a natural order.

10 I have learned that life is a continuous, rhythmic experience of mistakes and successes, adding to knowledge and expression.

11 I have learned that what we learn is for eternity, as we are forever beings.

12 I have learned that life is a journey towards inheritance.

13 I have learned that each flower, each blade of grass, each sunrise and sunset, each snowflake is absolutely unique. There has never been a better you, and there never, ever will be.

14 I have learned that we have the support of the Universe, whether we acknowledge it or not.

15 I have learned that our minds are part of the mind of God.
Our hearts are part of the Heart of God. We eventually return to God and our thoughts will share the thoughts of all creation and our heart will beat with the heart of God.

16 I have learned that we are God’s agent with our hearts faintly echoing His song.
We are to make ourselves a part of that song, so those who have lost the tune may remember it again.

17 I have learned to rest and let Him hold me.

18 When you reach out, touch His hand and then put your arm around a friend.
The most important things in life are the ones done with love…
