I will be using Dojo as a way for promoting good behavior in school. I will also be using Dojo as a way of parent communication. I will send home updates about what we are doing in class on Dojo Class Story. 2 Homework Curriculum Snacks School Expectations Class Dojo
Reading & Math Facts Every Night! Homework is meant to be extra practice to reinforce skills that we are working on, however it should not take hours or be too difficult that your child cannot complete it without a bit of support. Homework will be assigned at the beginning of the week & written in the agenda. Curriculum Snacks I will be following the Paulding County planning guides for all subjects. This includes using: Novel Stories in Reading Math Workshop for Math Lucy Calkins Writing Workbooks for Social Studies This year we will use a variety of resources, books, and other tools to master the standards expected from the students. Other tools we will be using: MyOn Reading and Math Inventory Because of our late lunch time, students are encouraged to bring a small snack to hold them over. They will be eating as they work. Suggestions are: Go-gurt, Chips, Crackers, Fruit Gummies, Juice Box, or Water. School Expectations Be Safe Be Responsible Be Respectful Believe in Yourself Class Dojo This year, I will be using a program called Class Dojo to manage behavior. Each child will have a “monster” that tracks their behavior (good or not) using points that students can use to go to the treasure box. Want your child to play some educational games online?
