Use Your Lab Safety Contract to Create a Mind Map
Refer to the safety contract to create a mind map. Draw a circle in the center of a sheet of white paper, label it: "Science Safety Rules," and draw four lines out from circle (spider legs). Label the lines with major components of safety, such as fire, eyes, glassware, etc. Draw "feet" off of the legs with a specific rule that is paraphrased. Add color and sketches. Don’t smell directly from a container - WAFT. Don’t heat closed containers. Keep your lab area neat and clean. Don’t place lab materials near the edge of the table.
