All electronic devices must be off your desks. Only one person can talk at one time.
For each time that the instructor has to ask a student to put a way an electronic device or refrain from interrupting others or disrupting the class, one point will be deducted from his or her final grade. Coming late and leaving early is also against the rules. It is disruptive to get up five minutes before class is dismissed. This behavior may also incur a penalty.
Any student who repeatedly disobeys the rules is at risk of receiving an academic warning form or possibly being sent to the dean for an official reprimand which could go on his or her official and permanent record.
These rules are in the syllabus and were presented in the orientation on the first day of class.
