Short Review of Yesterday’s Material Political Parties Notes Political Party Activies Finish Classwork from today! What was your political affiliation (What party were you?) Are you surprised? Why or Why Not? What was an issue that you 100% agree with that party on? What was an issue that you were in between the two parties on? What was an issue that you did not agree with that party on? Does someone have to agree with 100% of everything their party believes in?

The Government should use tax money to directly help the poor and provide services. Ex: Social Security, Food Stamps, Medicaid/Medicare Government should have more regulations on business Ex: Environment, Minimum wage, etc. Social Believe that religion should not dictate what is right. “What happens in my home is my business” Ex: Pro Gay-Marriage, Pro-Choice. Exception: Democrats generally think that the public is safer without guns.

Economic The government should have less taxes and let people pay for services they want and use, not for everyone else. Ex: Use your money for your own retirement instead of Social Security. Government should have less regulations so business prosper. Social It’s the governments place to make sure that people are moral human beings. Ex: Anti Gay-Marriage, Pro Life More religious Pro guns.
