Selecting Instructors and Dates
Clicking the “Release Flights” link at the top of the page takes you to this page Select instructor to release. (only instructors with pending releases will be displayed) If the instructor only has pending sorties on a single day, the eFR for that day will load. Select dates if there are multiple dates to Release for this instructor.

Copying the ORM The ORM can be copied to each sortie for this instructor and date. The entire ORM is copied. As briefed, instructors should be using the worst case ORM for that period.

Complete the FRO Checklist
Note that the ORM Score has been copied to every sortie under Flights to Release Access and complete the FRO Checklist as you normally would

Select Sorties for Release
Use the Approve checkbox to select the sorties you wish to release.

Release the Sorties Complete the items under Additional Info/Release Options, the click the Approve button to release all the selected sorties

Release Confirmation The released sorties are listed across the top of the window for confirmation. If you select Cancel Flight Release, only the first sortie is cancelled. There is currently no ability to cancel or edit releases on the NFA screen. Use standard screen or delete/replan.

Items to Remember If you have selected a sortie to edit and it has appeared at the top of the Flight Academy Management screen, it will remain there until you select Update. If you want to discard changes you have made to the sortie, you must leave the page. The Flight Academy Management screen is only used to release instructional sorties. Glider Tow, relocation, cadet solo, etc. are released through the normal flight release process. Cadets must have their “Solo Pilot” qualification in Ops/Quals before they can be released for solo flights. If a pilot has pending releases for multiple aircraft models, only those for the model used on the first sortie will appear. Once those are released, the sorties for the other model of aircraft will appear. When using an iPad and Chrome – the Approve button at the bottom of the eFR Details page will not be visible. Enter your CAPID and Code, then retract the keyboard to access the Approve button.
