Today’s Lesson In today’s lesson, you will add numbers to the hundreds and thousands place, with and without regrouping.

Think and Write Tell about a time in your everyday life where you had to add two or more numbers together. Examples: In the store, calculating lunch money, adding allowance

Adding Numbers Add Step 1: Add the ones. Regroup the ones if needed. Step 2: Add the tens, regrouping if needed. Step 3: Add the hundreds. Model this on the board step by step, or have students do it on slates/communicator boards.
